Super delicious food! It was my first time & the waffletella was amazing I def recommend! The service was good, we waited for maybe 15-20 mins and they had chairs with umbrellas for us to sit under. We sat outside & there was plenty of shade. 10/10 waiters were very nice

Small vibe. Everything out of the kitchen looks amazing. Vibe is chill if you're with your friends or your boo. I love the diversity of diners in here. I love they have vegan options and the customer service is polite and chill.

Thanks to luring reviews from Eater LA food news and fellow Yelp Friends, I've had this restaurant bookmarked since 2017 and finally got around to experiencing it during this visit. Since we had recently escaped the triple-digit heat in Las Vegas, I told my gourmet brother-in-law that we had changed our eating habits to enjoy only two meals daily (brunch and early dinner). I agreed with home cooking one meal daily and dining out for the second without restricting ourselves to a specific meal. We took the time to compare our restaurant lists and found several in common. This breakfast/brunch spot, Met Her At A Bar, was on our list. We fortunately found street parking near the corner of S LaBrea Avenue and W 8th Street just a parking stall away from Met Her At A Bar's canopied al fresco dining area. At the doorway, a hostess greeted and seated our threesome next to the "dancing waffles wall." Also, looking at the fun and lively decor, we figured that anywhere who proudly features waffles or certain food items as a wall mural, must KNOW they serve great waffles. Our server, Meghan, energetically greeted us, took our morning beverage orders while telling us about the daily specials. However, since we had perused the menu in advance of coming to the restaurant, we politely interrupted her by immediately ordering our Thai-inspired brunch orders with steaming mugs of black coffee. FOOD: -Fried Chicken & Waffle: Thai-style fried chicken with tom yum seasoning and crispy basil. The tasty, tom yum seasoned boneless chicken thigh pieces were encrusted in a crispy, deep-fried golden brown crust. The crispy chicken pieces complemented the waffle's crisp exterior and its fluffy, tender and moist interior. Thin slices of jalapeno peppers (luckily, not overly spicy) and crispy basil leaves completed the stack. Sides of sweet chili/fish sauce dip, maple syrup and whipped butter accompanied this meal. I used the sweet chili/fishsauce dip to enhance the chicken but the tasty waffle didn't need anything. I enjoyed this Thai-inspired fried chiciken and waffle because I didn't have to share it with my fried food-loving husband. $21.50 -Crispy Chicken Sandwich: crispy fried boneless chicken thigh, kale slaw, dill pickles, green curry aioli on a brioche bun. $15 & Waffle fries, additional $5. My fried food-loving husband chose this behemoth brunch sandwich. The Thai-inspired flavors and colorful presentation made this sandwich a joy to look at and eat. He enjoyed the textural complements and contrasts of the sandwich paired with the crisp waffle fries' exterior with their fluffy interior. Total cost: $20 -Khai Jiao (Thai omelette): 3 eggs, onion, maple sausage, and jasimine rice served with a side of tomato and sriracha. We've seen Thai omelettes (Khai Jiao/Kai Jeow) offered at Honolulu's local Thai restaurants but it was my brother-in-law's first time ordering it. Funnily, he said he was attracted to this dish because of his love for rice. Met Her At A Bar's Thai omelette looked to be prepared in more oil as its edges were crispier and the overall omelette's presentation was prettier yet it wasn't greasy. The fishsauce umami shined as its funky saltiness kicked up the onion and pork sausage flavors. The housemade sriracha sauce further brightened the omelette and rice. $16 We enjoyed our dining experience and food flavors at Met Her At A Bar so much that we've made dinner reservations at the chefs-owners' other restaurant, Met Him At A Bar, for Italian fare.

Came here for a late bunch and we enjoyed the place! Wait wasn't too bad and seating wasn't too bad either (though a little tight!)! But their food was what hit the spot. We had the huevos rancheros and their crispy French toast! Service was nice and friendly! We were satisfied and happy! Had to street park though!

Absolutely love the vibe! Came here for brunch with a friend and we loved it! There's street parking available but just be careful and read the signs. We ordered the chicken & waffles and french toast! Both were super delicious and very flavorful! Staff were also super nice and quick! Would highly recommend for a brunch place!

This place is one of my recent finds, although, they've been in business since 2017, I wasn't expecting much when I decided to go here with a friend. What I experienced was very helpful staff, getting us seated with menus and water and coming back in a very timely manner to take our drink and/or food order. While waiting for our food, looked around. Foo dogs greet you at the entrance and you immediately walk into a very hip dining room. Whimsical but very understated. I enjoyed looking around the room. And then our food came. This was at breakfast. I ordered a breakfast burrito and it is packed with chorizo. My friend ordered chicken and waffles and enjoyed it very much. I'm guessing there's a wait if you go on Saturday or Sunday morning. It's that good. This restaurant deserves your attention, it got mine. I'll be back.

The whole entire place was a warm welcoming with amazing food, & the most fresh matcha I've ever had. I'd most likely try something other than the poached egg bc it wasn't the best but it was good! My fav was matcha & the french toast. The host was extremely nice & had a good spirit on him. I'd come back, it was how comfortable I felt there.
